Interpreting the Poll Results
Aggregate polling results from RealClearPolitics illustrates a steady climb in polling numbers among Republicans for Romney since mid-March, while Santorum seems to have started on a slight downward trend over the past week. Santorum won the most recent primary in Louisiana, so his polling numbers may soon be revived once the polling catches up with the election results. April 3 will be primary day for Wisconsin, District of Columbia and Maryland — all races Mitt Romney is expected to win. The elections in early April may seal the nomination for Romney, but it remains to be seen whether Republicans will rally around him enough to propel him to victory in November.
